Grid Code Acceptance Test Procedure (Litgrid)

In Lithuania, newly connected Type C electricity generation modules (EGMs) with a total capacity of 5 MW to 15 MW must comply with grid code requirements, which are tested during trial operations in collaboration with the transmission system operator, AB Litgrid. These tests are mandatory before obtaining electricity production permission from VERT.

The connection requirements for Type C EGMs are detailed in the State Energy Regulatory Council’s decision No. O3E-684, dated May 26, 2023, and aligns with the parameters set out in the European Union’s “Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/631”. AB Litgrid not only outlines the necessary requirements but also defines the procedure for conducting EGM tests.

At Elseta, we have extensive experience in preparing and conducting these tests. Our services include consultation during the design and equipment selection stages, system tuning according to the agreed testing program, and performing the tests with the transmission system operator. We also provide a comprehensive test report upon completion.
