We’re pleased to announce the release of WCCLite firmware version 1.11.3, officially published on December 11, 2025. This update brings a set of meaningful enhancements and fixes that improve core protocol handling, event logging precision, and overall operational reliability of the WCC Lite — a compact remote telemetry unit and gateway used for SCADA connectivity, protocol conversion, and distributed field automation.
With this latest release, we strongly recommend updating all WCCLite devices to take full advantage of:
- More accurate event logging
Version 1.11.3 adds millisecond-level timestamp precision in the events log — giving you finer resolution on state changes and event sequences for diagnostics and compliance.
Improved time accuracy helps utilities better correlate events across devices and reduce ambiguity in sequence-of-event analysis.
- Enhanced IEC 101 & IEC 103 protocol support
• Math expressions for status signals are now supported in both IEC101 and IEC103 protocols, enabling more flexible signal interpretation and scalable mapping within your system logic.
• Master protocol fixes improve type conversion in IEC101 and add missing type conversion support to IEC104 Master.
• The IEC103 master initialization sequence has been aligned more closely with the official standard, improving interoperability and reducing potential connection issues.
These enhancements streamline protocol integration and help maintain stable communication with protected devices and substations.
- Modbus master improvements
Math logic is extended to Modbus status signals, offering a consistent interpretation of status data across different Modbus-connected equipment and increasing the fidelity of SCADA-level monitoring.
- Robust GSMD behaviour
The GSMD service now respects modem availability — it no longer starts if the modem is absent or not connected, helping prevent unnecessary service attempts and reducing error logs in edge deployments.
