RTU for substations – Ponline Butler RTU

Kries-Energietechnik GmbH & Co. KG developed a Universal tele-control solution for transformer stations for new installations and retrofit projects called the PonLine Butler-RTU series.

The PonLine Butler-RTU connects distribution network stations very easily and cost-effectively to higher-level tele-control levels. Via secure connections, the data can be transmitted e.g. via IEC 60870-5-104 or MQTT. An integrated UPS module buffers data of the connected devices in case of power failure.

The system is unique in his simplicity and wide posibilities. This solution includes integrated small Kries UPS system as well small footprint as an advantage of Kries UPS and Elseta miniRTU.

Multitalent in communication and encryption

Control station protocols such as IEC 60870-5-104 or MQTT are supported, and encryption is via VPN, OpenVPN, or IPSec.

Fault and measured value acquisition medium voltage

The PonLine Butler-RTU can be ideally used in conjunction with the IKI-23 or IKI-50 series. In addition, further information from the distribution network station can be processed via digital inputs and outputs.

Easy remote control parameterization

The data points can be easily configured or can be pre-configured at the factory.

Universal connection to SCADA

Visualization can be done via existing control systems or via our PONLINE-Connect.

Optional I/O modules

The PONLINE Butler-RTU_IO version has 8 digital inputs and outputs each.
